Now just under a two hour drive from Calais, this beautiful part
of France is easily accessible. Renowned not only for its scenery,
coastline, gastronomy and architecture, it is well worth a visit.
Rouen is the capital of upper Normandy and is truly deserving
of this accolade. It is an important port and takes pride in its
status as a "museum" town. Its scintillating atmosphere and unique
charm make it one of our favourite destinations. A walk around the
town's winding streets, nooks and crannies reveals a multitude of
architectural gems and delightful surprises. The structure and buildings
provide a wealth of interest both inside and out, not least the
magnificent Cathedral. Gourmet restaurants and street cafes cater
to all tastes and appetites.
