back in time with a visit to St Jacques' Quarter. Designed and built by
Louis XIV architect de Ventabre, these historic buildings have been faithfully
restored for modern life. Visit Le Pollet across the Quai Henri IV
to see where painter Walter Sickert lived and worked Dieppe's oldest,
le Caf� des Tribunaux, on the Puits-sale was a favourite haunt of
Oscar Wilde and his pals more than a century ago. Today it's still a favourite
with tourists. If
it's nightlife you're after you won't be disappointed with Dieppe's selection
of bars and caf�s. Whether you're looking for a genuine French caf� experience,
an American-style night out or you'd prefer the karaoke spotlight, there's
something here for you. If you fancy your chances, take a flutter at the
Casino. Or for the more daring, there is a number of 'club priv�s'
that may let you in, 'if your face fits!' Sun worshipers and swimmers
