February 23, 2000 Three pet labradors travelling with Hoverspeed Amber, Bodi and Chester are set to be first pets to enter the UK under the provisions of the new Pet Travel Scheme (PETS) when they arrive by hovercraft in Dover at 9am on Monday, February 28, 2000. Hoverspeed is offering free pet travel for bookings made by March 31, 2000 on its Dover/Calais hovercraft and seacat services, and with crossing times from just 35 minutes, is already proving a popular travel option for pet owners.
