July 5, 2002 As the peak summer season approaches, high speed car ferry operator Hoverspeed has recently completed a series of educationals for over 100 representatives from the UK Travel Trade and Tour Operators. Visiting the company's Dover base, the familiarisations included a visit to the company's Call Centre, terminal passenger facilities, including the 1st lounge, followed by a round trip to Calais on one of the newly refurbished Seacats. The travel trade contribute a significant amount of tourist business for Hoverspeed annually and the fast ferry company's car carryings on the Dover - Calais route are already 3% up compared to last year.
