April 10, 2002 In the year Hoverspeed celebrates 21 years of high speed car ferry travel, the company continues to innovate with speed, style and service on its routes linking the UK and the Continent. Marking the milestone of becoming the longest established of all current cross channel operators, Hoverspeed is introducing a special "21" travel theme throughout 2002. The monthly programme of its products, services and offers, will feature 21 exclusive incentives to travel Hoverspeed, 21 top shopping offers, 21 best short break offers, 21 recommended restaurants and 21 top travel tips on places to visit in the Pas-de-Calais region. Special fares during off - peak periods will also be introduced during the year combined with cross channel shopping offers and opportunities for customers to win top travel prizes. From mid May, Hoverspeed's new look fleet will be complete for the 2002 season with three Seacat catamarans operating an increased frequency of 15 return sailings daily on the Dover-Calais route. Hoverspeed Great Britain, Seacat Danmark will be joined by the newly named Seacat France. A fourth Seacat, Diamant, will operate the Dover - Ostend route with two return sailings daily. Hoverspeed's popular Newhaven-Dieppe high speed service resumed for the new season in March to 30 September, with a Superseacat providing up to three return sailings daily.
