February 1, 2002 Cross channel travel with Hoverspeed, luxury excursions on the Orient Express, Chateaux Breaks in Europe and a holiday at Disneyland Paris are just some of the daily prizes on offer when high speed car ferry operator Hoverspeed stages a major promotion at Bluewater - Europe's largest retail and leisure destination - from Friday 8 February to Sunday 17 February. As pioneers of fast ferry travel with its fleet of Seacats and Superseacats, Hoverspeed is the first-ever cross channel company to promote its services and products at Bluewater. Visitors to the Hoverspeed stand during the 11 day promotion will also qualify for special cross channel offers from Dover to Calais in addition to entry in the daily travel prize competition. Online booking demonstrations, information on special advance purchase fares for travel anytime in 2002, plus news on Hoverspeed's increased fleet and sailing frequency from Dover in the peak season, will also be available throughout the promotion. The Hoverspeed stand will be located on the upper Guildhall level of Bluewater and will be open daily during the normal hours of business - Monday to Friday 10am to 9pm, Saturday 9am to 8pm and Sunday 11am to 5pm. Major travel trade companies supporting the Hoverspeed promotion include Orient Express Trains & Hotels, Bridge Travel, Driveline Europe, Flanders - Brussels Tourism and the Najeti Group of Hotels. Hoverspeed operates three cross channel routes - Dover - Calais, Dover - Ostend and the seasonal Newhaven - Dieppe service. The company carries around 3 million passengers a year and 750,000 cars.
