At over 56m in length, the twin Princesses are the largest hovercraft in the world and can carry 360 passengers and 50 cars
The hovercraft travels at speeds of up to 60 knots, powered by four Rolls Royce Marine Proteus engines developing 48,000lb of thrust
The Princess Anne holds the record for the fastest ever crossing of the English Channel - just 22 minutes between Calais and Dover on 14 September 1995
